"Legends" (2000-2002) was an archive-based biographical series, focussing on stars of stage and screen with close connections to London. It seems like an ordinary TV bio at first but it fact it's far more interesting. Simon Harries, associate producer: "I found an old school friend of Roger Moore, from his days as a wartime evacuee at Battersea Grammar School, plus two elderly women taught to swim by him at Brockwell Park Lido in 1943 - never interviewed before on the subject." The least entertaining of biography showns about Moore. A 30-minute collage of movie clips and general information about the actor's work - sometimes incorrect. The definite highlight of the show is an interview given by Roger Moore presumably on a totally different occasion, yet very interesting and informative. The show was released on video in USA on Jan 12, 1997.

Hosted by Barry Norman. Interviewees: Dany Kaye, Vera Lynn, David Hedison, Michael Caine, John Glen, Lew Grade, Frank Sinatra, Liza Minnelli and others/
A 60-minute BBC special on the Variety Club of Great Britain tribute to Roger Moore. The film comprises short biographical look hosted by Barry Norman and filmed parts of the event which took place on June 27, 1989 at London's Hilton and featured club members and guests. A very entertaining show, especially thanks to humourous speeches given by Danny Kaye and Roger Moore. Michael Caine also delivers one of the funniest lines in a taped greetings from New York "When I get older, I want to be just like you!".
Special thanks to Remco Admiraal for the films!
