DIVA Lifetime Achievement Award
On January 26, Sir Roger Moore will be honoured with the German DIVA Lifetime Achievement award at the 20th DIVA Award Ceremony at the Hotel Bayerischer Hof in Munich. Former recipients of this honor include Christopher Lee, Lauren Bacall, Liv Ullmann, Vanessa Redgrave, Ursula Andress, Sir Peter Ustinov, Maximilan Schell, and Alain Delon. 2009
PETA UK Person of the Year
On the heels of its recent Selfridges victory, PETA UK has named Sir Roger Moore 2009's Person of the Year. The celebrated actor's tireless and successful efforts against foie gras began three years ago when Moore narrated a video about its production that has attracted more than 300,000 viewers. Since then, Moore has written to every member of the House of Commons asking them to help end foie gras sales in the UK and penned many pieces for national publications in his unending attempt to spread the word against the deadly force-feeding of ducks and geese. For his inspiring accomplishments, Moore was honored with a plaque and a copy of PETA President Ingrid E. Newkirk's "One Can Make a Difference".
BECTU Certificate
Sir Roger Moore was presented with a certificate from the British Technician's Union BECTU (the UK's media and entertainment trade union) - for over 50 years loyal membership. Sir Roger first became a member as a teenager working in the animation company PPP. Source: Roger-Moore.com
2008
Cinema Retro Lifetime Achievement Award
The "Cinema Retro" magazine award was presented to Sir Roger Moore at "The Spy Who Loved Me" special gala dinner at Pinewood Studios in October 2008. The actor was recognized for his services to the television and film industry.

Order of Arts and Letters
The award is one of France's highest honours. French Culture Minister Christine Albanel hailed the 81-year-old former star of the James Bond films as a "legend of the big and small screen". "France is happy and proud to honour a legendary actor with an immense heart," said Albanel. Moore said at the Paris award ceremony that the Arts and Letters award to him was worth "more than an Oscar". The event took place on 28th October at the French Cultural ministry in Paris.
2007

Dag Hammarskjöld Inspiration Award
The prestigious humanitarian award is presented in memory of the second United Nations Secretary-General, Dag Hammarskjöld, who died in a plane crash in September 1961. Sir Roger is only the second recipient of the Dag Hammarskjöld Inspiration Award, which is given annually by the Board of Directors of the Dag Hammarskjöld Scholarship Fund. Sir Roger Moore recieved the award on 25 October in New York.

Thalians Lifetime Achievement Award
Each year, The Thalians honour a legendary individual for achievements and charitable contributions, and the event raises funds to support the Thalians Mental Health Center at Cedars Sinai Hospital. Sir Roger Moore recieved the award at the 52nd Thalians' Gala in Los Angeles on 21 October.

Star On Hollywood Walk Of Fame
Sir Roger Moore was honored with a well-deserved star on the world-famous Walk of Fame in Hollywood, CA on 11 October. Moore's is the 2,350th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. His star is appropriately located at 7007 Hollywood Blvd, off of Orange Avenue.
2006
Sir Roger Moore plaque at Elstree Studios
On 31 October, Sir Roger Moore unveiled a plaque at the Elstree film and television studios to mark the six years he spent filming at Elstree when he played Simon Templar in the hit TV series "The Saint". The actor said: "I spent eight to nine years of my life literally working every day from crack of dawn till sunset, sometimes through the late nights. "It's good to be back." Sir Roger was joined by some members of the cast and crew of "The Saint".
PETA recognition
On 28 June Sir Roger Moore was among a string of high-profile animal campaigners awarded for their active participation in Peopel For The Ethical Treatment Of Animals (PETA)'s campaign against foie gras. The event took place in London.

Help The Aged Living Legend Award
Sir Roger Moore was awarded for his work with several causes including UNICEF, deaf and blind people, Overseas Aid, Scope, the Variety Club of Great Britain and Help the Aged. The ceremony took place on May 3 at Windsor Castle and the award was presented by HM the Queen.

Audrey Hepburn Humanitarian Award
The US Fund for UNICEF award for Sir Roger's charity work. The event took place on November 16 in Manhattan.
Honorary Membership of the Swedish VolvoP1800 Club
The reception took place on November 9 in Stockholm.
The ceremony took place on November 6 in Dublin. The Saint - The Best TV Detective in Norway
In one of its July issues, Norway's biggest newspaper declared in an informal competition that Roger Moore's Saint was the best TV detective ever to have been on Norwegian TV.
